Launched in 2013 by the Lotbinière SADC, the New Year’s Brunch has become a must-attend event for entrepreneurs, partners, and local organizations.
Each year, the SADC and its partners host an inspiring conference on a timely topic or featuring a renowned entrepreneur. This event offers everyone the opportunity to reflect and find inspiration at the start of the year.
The New Year’s Bunch through the years:

From 2014 to 2024, the Lotbinière SADC held five editions of the Lotbinière Sustainable Development Competition. In 2025, this local initiative expanded to become a regional project: the Sustainable Vision Gala, organized by the SADCs and CAEs of the Chaudière-Appalaches region.
The event aims to highlight eco-responsible practices and recognize businesses that integrate sustainable development into the core of their business models or projects. It celebrates innovation, commitment, and initiatives that help build a more sustainable future for the region.
Thanks to this project, entrepreneurs and organizations are becoming more aware of responsible practices and are drawing inspiration from the best practices highlighted, to the benefit of the entire region. From 2014 to 2024, over the course of the five editions of the Lotbinière Sustainable Development Competition, more than 75 applications from organizations were submitted. In 2025, during the Chaudière-Appalaches edition of the Vision Durable Gala, 50 applications were submitted, 19 of which came from organizations in the Lotbinière RCM.

Since 2014, SADC has been offering training in good governance for board members and executives of nonprofit organizations in the region.
Offered at regular intervals, this training program is delivered in collaboration with local partners to address the specific needs of Lotbinière’s non-profit organizations. Over the course of seven sessions, more than 260 people have participated in this training.
Governance remains a key factor in ensuring the vitality and longevity of our local organizations.

Micro-Crédit Lotbinière was established in 2008 at the initiative of SADC Lotbinière. This new local economic development organization has provided microfinance and support to self-employed individuals and very small businesses in the region.
From the very beginning, the Lotbinière SADC played a key role by launching the project, assigning an internal resource to establish the organization’s structure and oversee its implementation, and then supporting its consolidation until it secured its own operating fund.
The SADC subsequently maintained its involvement on the board of directors for several years, thereby contributing to the project’s stability, growth, and sustainability.
Over the years, the organization expanded its service area, adopted the name Micro-Crédit Chaudière-Appalaches, relocated its operations to Lévis, and completed its transition to become, in 2022, MicroEntreprendre Chaudière-Appalaches.

Since 2002, the SADC Lotbinière has been actively involved in the region’s agri-food sector, notably through its participation in the Comité Vie-Agro Lotbinière and by organizing seven editions of the Soupers de la récolte.
In 2008, the Vie-Agro Committee became the Goûtez Lotbinière Agri-Food Roundtable. Since its founding, the SADC has contributed to the development of Goûtez Lotbinière by collaborating on numerous events and initiatives such as the Goûtez Lotbinière Months, the creation of the Smoothie Bike, farm tours, farmers’ markets, gourmet tours, and much more.
Since its inception in 2008, the Lotbinière SADC has been a signatory to the partnership agreements of the Goûtez Lotbinière initiative and actively contributes to it. Its commitment takes the form of financial support and the allocation of a dedicated resource who participates in committees, planning, and the implementation of projects that build capacity for the agri-food sector.
Goûtez Lotbinière works in collaboration with local businesses and community partners to promote local agri-food products and support collective marketing.
In 2023, Goûtez Lotbinière took a significant step forward by becoming a regional bio-food accelerator. This evolution actively contributes to the implementation of the Agricultural Zone Development Plan (PDZA), under the responsibility of the Lotbinière RCM.
The action plan is structured around three main pillars:
- Logistics and local marketing
- Forestry and environment
- Promotion, value creation, succession, and development
This collective effort is made possible thanks to the commitment of several local partners, including: the Lotbinière RCM, the Regroupement des Caisses Desjardins de Lotbinière, Promutuel du Saint-Laurent aux Appalaches, the UPA Lotbinière-Sud and Lotbinière-Nord unions, and the Lotbinière SADC.

Launched in 2001 by the Lotbinière SADC, the Lotbinière CLD, and the Lotbinière Women’s Centre, the Lotbinière Women Entrepreneurs’ Dinner aims to promote women’s entrepreneurship and foster networking among businesswomen in the region. The SADC has been actively involved in this initiative for over 20 years, both through its participation in the organizing committee’s work and in the events themselves, as well as through the administrative management of the project.
The Women Entrepreneurs’ Dinners aim to foster networking and dialogue among businesswomen in Lotbinière, promoting the values of camaraderie, collaboration, and respect.
Over the years, women entrepreneurs and the Lotbinière Chamber of Commerce have joined the original organizing committee, helping to develop this initiative dedicated to promoting women’s entrepreneurship in the region.
In the spring of 2023, administrative management of the initiative was entrusted to the Lotbinière Chamber of Commerce, ensuring the project’s continuity.
After more than 25 years, the Women Entrepreneurs’ Dinners remain essential biannual events for women entrepreneurs in Lotbinière, fostering the development of connections, the sharing of experiences, and the strengthening of the women’s entrepreneurial network.
Beyond major projects, SADC is actively involved on a daily basis through numerous local initiatives and activities. Training sessions, events, networking activities, and outreach efforts support entrepreneurs and invigorate the local business community. These concrete actions demonstrate SADC’s active and committed presence on the ground.

In addition to the projects and initiatives it supports in the region, the Lotbinière SADC has been integrating responsible practices into its daily operations since 2011 through its internal sustainable development policy. The SADC aims to reduce its environmental footprint, promote the well-being of its team, and act in accordance with the principles of sustainable development that it promotes in the region.
The SADC has also been a member of the Sustainable Development Group of the SADC+CAE Network since 2011, a role that allows it to deepen its expertise, share best practices, and contribute to sustainable innovation among small businesses.
Since 2011, SADC Lotbinière has placed sustainable development at the heart of its organizational practices by adopting its first internal sustainable development policy and action plan. This initiative has resulted in concrete commitments across several areas of its operations, including:
These efforts have helped foster a strong organizational culture centered on aligning our values with our actions.
