The organizing committee is proud to have held its very first event dedicated to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) on Tuesday, September 23. The gathering brought together 24 representatives from local organizations and businesses.

The event featured Ms. Marie-Chantal Paris, an EDI expert from Humance, who led a stimulating and interactive workshop. She provided participants with a fresh perspective on equity and inclusion challenges while sharing her analysis of the current transformation of the labor market. Ms. Paris repeatedly emphasized that for any business, "it is vital to have people who think differently than we do within our work teams!"

Participants also had the opportunity to discover inspiring local initiatives, showcasing the commitment of our regional businesses to creating more inclusive and equitable workplaces. In addition, seven organizations presented their available services and grant programs designed to support local businesses.

During his opening remarks, the Prefect of the MRC de Lotbinière, Mr. Daniel Turcotte, presented the four pillars of the very first Regional Policy on Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (2025-2030), which was adopted last November by the MRC de Lotbinière.

The organizing committee—comprised of representatives from SADC Lotbinière, MRC Lotbinière, Carrefour emploi Lotbinière, Centre-Femmes Lotbinière, and Services Québec—wishes to warmly thank all participants for their attendance and active contribution to the discussions.
