An Authentic, Inspiring, and Unifying New Year’s Brunch!

On Friday, January 30, SADC Lotbinière was delighted to welcome some fifty guests to the 13th edition of its New Year’s Brunch. It was a wonderful way to kick off 2026, featuring a powerful keynote by Dominic Gagnon: Entrepreneurship and Mental Health – Where Genius Meets Vulnerability!

Returning for his second appearance, Dominic shared his story with profound authenticity, driven by his contagious energy, straight talk, and transparency. His words helped break down taboos and deeply moved everyone in attendance.

He also shared several concrete solutions: eating well, getting enough sleep, staying active, asking for help before it's too late, building a support network, and—most importantly—learning to detach oneself from one’s business. He emphasized: "You are not your business, and your business is not you!"

His message to the participants? Break the silence, be present, and provide a safe space and human support for the entrepreneurs in our community.

A special thank you goes out to the mental health resource organizations present to provide information, prevention tools, and tangible support. Their commitment is vital to our community, and their presence greatly enriched the experience for all. We also thank everyone who attended, as well as the Club de golf Lotbinière for its impeccable hospitality and a delicious brunch highlighting local products from the Lotbinière MRC.

Once again this year, the event was carbon neutral, reflecting our commitment to acting responsibly and sustainably.
